Ulus is an ancient district in Ankara. It was once considered the very heart of the city until it grew and enlarged its borders. Ulus is still one of the oldest areas with many historical attractions, some of which are as old as a thousand years. There is the Ulus square in the centre, where you’ll find the Monument of the Republic, the Ankara Palace, with the parliament taking their decisions there, and the Ziraat Bankasi, one of the old buildings hosting the bank today.
